Disability Inclusive Day

Due to the success of the original Disability Day back in October 2010, a second Inclusive
Day was held at Sport in Desford on Tuesday 5th April. Forty five people attended from Dorothy Goodman School and Sketchley Horizon School some of whom did not attend last year. During the day many activities were tried out including tennis, bowls, dance, football and use of the gym equipment. Volunteers from Sport in Desford themselves felt good at the end of the day as they could see what a good time they were offering which was evident from the smiling faces of the visitors. At the end of the Day everyone was presented with a mug by Councillor Rob Mayne as a memento of the occasion.

The next Inclusive day is planned for September 2011.
